However, you can expect others that don’t have an account to complain that Adobe Creative Cloud won’t uninstall. After all, you simply can’t go to the Control Panel and remove such apps. It doesn't work like that.

All the components of Adobe Creative Cloud(Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc) can only be uninstalled properly when they are synced to the Adobe account. So, follow the steps below to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud properly:

  1. On your computer, launch the Creative Cloud
  2. Log in and go to the Apps.
  3. Locate the app you want to uninstall, and click on the three horizontal dots - More options.
  4. Select Uninstall to delete Adobe apps.

Note: In some versions, you will have to click on Manage first after clicking the three dots, by then you will only be able to click Uninstall.

  1. If there is a popup message, simply select Yes, Remove App Preferences. This will delete the cache of the selected app so that there will be no data left once the removal process is done.
  2. Now simply follow the onscreen instructions to be given to you. The instructions may differ based on what version your Adobe Creative Cloud is.

That’s pretty much how to uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud. However, as we’ve said before, it won’t always go as planned. In some cases, Adobe Creative Cloud won’t uninstall even when you use the official app.

As luck would have it, it’s also not the only way to bypass the issue when Adobe Creative Cloud can't uninstall. With that said, you will have to rely on our other solutions.

2. Run The Standalone Uninstaller

There are lots of issues in managing Adobe Creative Cloud, and one of them is when Adobe Creative Cloud won’t uninstall. Thus, they made it so that there are respective solutions for each issue. In our case, we will be using the Uninstaller that the Adobe staff developed.

The Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Uninstaller is an executable file that allows users to forcefully remove any app related to Creative Cloud. It is available from the official website of Adobe, so you can be sure that it is safe to use this function.

If Adobe Creative Cloud can't be uninstalled, use Adobe Creative Cloud Uninstaller to force uninstall the apps:

  1. Go to the Adobe.com website and download the Creative Cloud Uninstaller zip file.
  2. Extract the zip file. Once that’s done, run the executable file.
  3. Click on Uninstall.

This will automatically uninstall the Adobe Creative Cloud app. It may take a while since it will commence the removal process manually. On the other hand, it would be effective as it is a cleaner utility directly from the Adobe developers.

To make it more effective, we suggest running the executable file as an administrator. That should ensure that you won’t be complaining that Adobe Creative Cloud can't uninstall.

Still, it’s not a 100% guarantee that all of this would end at this point. Remember that the app itself may not be the problem. It may also have something to do with the components which are why Adobe Creative Cloud won’t uninstall.

3. Remove Other Adobe Components

So for our next option, we will be removing the rest of the components of an Adobe app. As you may already know, there are components or software that are automatically installed, regardless of whether you give permission or not.

There might be a bunch of software that you didn’t know exists in your operating system. They tend to run continuously in your background. Unfortunately, it’s not easy to remove these components.

For that, we will be using yet another one of Adobe’s utilities which is the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool. Here’s how you can use this so you won’t encounter issues like Adobe Creative Cloud won’t uninstall:

  1. Go to this link and download the tool named Adobe CC Cleaner.
  2. Now right-click on the Adobe CC Cleaner tool and from the resulting menu, select Run as Administrator.
  3. Once the tool is opened, you will be presented with a new window. First, select the language that you will be used by typing in the corresponding letter.
  4. Next, type in y and press Enter to agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. You will then see a list of options. Since we will be cleaning the Adobe components to ensure that you won’t face the problem like when Adobe Creative Cloud can't uninstall, type in 6 then press Enter. This option corresponds to Clean All.
  6. Now type in again the letter y and press Enter. This will confirm your decision.

It may take a while since it’s technically going to clean all the components associated with the Adobe Creative Cloud. Thus, don’t expect that Adobe Creative Cloud won’t uninstall, because it will surely do once you use such a method.

4. Edit Adobe Registry

At this point, your operating system should no longer have any components left that are associated with any Adobe Creative Cloud apps. However, that doesn’t mean that your job is done.

There are still some things that won’t be removed even with the Clear All option. One of those things would be the entries on the Windows Registry.

Now, remember that the Windows Registry is a delicate tool. It might result in severe issues if you were to misuse it, and you can forget everything about the case with Adobe Creative Cloud won’t uninstall. With that said, make sure to follow these steps carefully:

  1. Go to your Start menu by clicking the Win key on your keyboard.
  2. Now type in Regedit and click on the first option that pops up. You may also press Win key + R to access the Run command. Then, type in Regedit and press Enter.
  3. Now on the Windows Registry Editor, there will a list of folders. Just follow this path: Computer > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run.
  4. Now once you click on Run, you will get a list on the right panel. There, select AdobeGCInvoker-1.0, right-click on it, then select Delete. You may also simply press the Delete key on your keyboard.
  5. Finally, close the Windows Registry Editor.

Although this would solve issues such as when Adobe Creative Cloud won’t uninstall, this is applicable only when you are using Windows. Otherwise, don’t make use of this method since you’re most likely not going to be able to find the Registry Editor.

At this point, you are very close to making it look like Adobe Creative Cloud didn’t exist on your operating system in the first place. We just have to do one more thing before we wrap this all up.

5. Delete Adobe Folders

Our last entry involves the process of deleting the folders that are associated with the Adobe Creative Cloud app. This is because, as you may already know, uninstalling an app doesn’t mean that the folders would be automatically deleted.

Unfortunately, deleting adobe folders is not as easy as you think. After all, when Adobe Creative Cloud won’t uninstall, it’s not the only issue.

There are also other cases, and we can’t delete folders mindlessly. For that reason, make sure to stick on deleting certain folders only. Here’s a look at the folders that need to be deleted:

  • Adobe
  • Common Files\Adobe

Note: These folders can be found in both the C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86) folders. In some cases, you may find it from the folder with your username as its folder.

Once you’ve deleted these folders, you can expect that you won’t be seeing any more messages from Adobe Creative Cloud.
