Lost Data from Android? We Can Get Them Back!
You can download the software here.
Connect your Android device to your PC or laptop and launch FoneDog Toolkit. Then, select Data Recovery.
Using a USB cable, connect your Android device to your PC or laptop. Make sure that you have enabled USB debugging on your Android device, as this will allow you to use the Toolkit to recover the lost data from your device.
If your device doesn’t automatically have a pop-up message which will allow you to enable USB debugging, you can do the following:
For most Android versions (4.2 and up)
For Android versions 3.0 to 4.1, go to “Settings” > “Developer options” > “USB debugging”.
For Android versions 2.3 or earlier, go to "Settings" > "Applications" > "Development" > "USB debugging".
After connecting your phone to your PC or laptop, FoneDog Toolkit will be able to display all the data types that it can recover. All data types are checked by default but you may also opt to select the data you’d like to recover. After making your selection, click “Next”.
The Toolkit will show two scanning modes: Standard Mode and Advanced Mode. We recommend you to try scanning using the Standard Mode first as it is faster; but if you don’t find the data you’re looking for, try Advanced Mode.
Click on “Start” to start analyzing and scanning your device. The scan process will take a few minutes. Remember, patience is a virtue!
Note: If a Superuser authorization message appears on your device during the scan, just click on “Allow” to continue.
Review the scanned data and select the items you want to recover. Click on “Recover” to save them all on your computer.
Click on “Data Recovery”, then on “Android SD Card Data Recovery” at the bottom.
Connect your Micro-SD card to your PC/laptop through your Android device or a card reader.
There are two scan modes for Android SD card data recovery. We recommend that you try the “Standard Mode” first, and you can choose to scan only for deleted files or scan for all files. If you can’t find the data you’re looking for after scanning through Standard Mode, then try scanning through “Advanced Mode”.
As soon as you’ve selected your preferred scan mode, click “Next” to continue.
After the program has scanned your SD card, all the files that are found will be displayed, sorted by type. Use the sidebar on the left to select different data types, and select a few or all files to recover them.
After your selection, click on “Recover” to save these files on your computer.
Use a USB cable to connect your Android phone or tablet to your Mac.
When your device is plugged in your Mac computer, the program will detect your device automatically.
After the program has successfully detected your device, scan your device for the type of files that you want to recover.
You can choose all these file types or manually select only those you would like to recover.
After your selection, click “Next” to start the scanning process.
When the program finished scanning the data on your device, you can review all the data that can be recovered on your device and select which ones you would like to keep.
After your selection, click on “Recover” to save them on your computer.
Using a USB cable, connect your Android device to your PC or laptop. Launch FoneDog Toolkit for Android on your computer and select “Data Extraction (Damaged Device)”.
All data types will be automatically selected by default, but you may manually choose which data types you would like to recover. After your selection, click “Next” to continue.Note: This function will only help to extract the existing data on the damaged Android device, and will not fix the device itself.
The program will prompt you to select which fault or issue you experienced with your Android device – either “Touch doesn’t work or cannot access the phone” or “Black/broken screen”.
Select on the fault that you are experiencing, and it will lead to the next step of the recovery process.
Select the correct device name and device model for your Android Device. It is important to do this to avoid any errors, especially “bricking” your device. Once you are done, check on “I agree with the warning, and am ready to proceed” and click “Next” to continue.
Note: This function currently works only for Samsung Galaxy S, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab devices.
Key in “confirm” on the dialog box and click on “Confirm” to continue the recovery process.
Follow the instructions from the program to enter download mode for your device and click on “Start”.
After the device has been set to download mode, the Toolkit will begin analyzing the device and download the recovery data package.
After the program has analyzed and scanned your device, it will display all recoverable file types by category.
Select the files that you would like to recover. After your selection, click on “Recover&rdquoa; to save these files on your computer.
