Using a Local Backup
From your LG phone’s home screen, open WhatsApp
Go to Settings and press the Menu button
Go to Chat Settings and then tap on Backup Conversations
Choose SD Card among the different backup options. If your Android phone does not support SD card, you can choose to back them up using the phone’s internal memory. WhatsApp will create a local file using this path: /sdcard/WhatApp/. In case you might need to transfer them on another phone, you need to use a computer to copy or transfer the files.

Reinstall WhatsApp from the Play Store
Press Restore to complete the set up whenever prompted
